“Mama”

What a big weekend for Nora! I got the best gift for Valentine’s Day: Nora said “Mama” for the first time! 
Here are some other big milestones she decided to reach over the weekend:
– Clapping
– Sitting herself back up
– Crawling forward
– Eating finger foods (those puff things)
– Saying “bye bye”
So now Doug and I have to figure out how to “contain” our little Nora the Explorer on the first floor. We really didn’t take that into consideration when we designed our house… the living room, dining and kitchen areas are very open. An we don’t have a surefire way to block the stairway, either. I guess we need to figure it out soon!! I promise to post some pics and hopefully some video on here, too…

Hi Erin, the girls are so cute! My sister-in-law has a stairway kind of like yours (I think you have openings between your spindles that support the banister). Anyway, they just expanded a regular baby gate so that it would rest between the spindles on each side, blocking the staircase. I hope that makes sense. Good luck, enjoy!!
