Puke-a-palooza

August29

We made it for almost two-and-a-half years… Molly finally hurled.  She must have caught a nasty stomach bug from preschool, because half the class was gone today with probably the same thing.  Poor little kid- we had dinner last night, and she totally spewed chunks while we were sitting on the couch… completely covered the couch cushion and even got two of her favorite stuffed animals who were sitting within the “blast zone.”  There was no way for them to escape in time.  And I can’t really get that “bile smell” out of their fur… yuck.

Anyway, poor little Molly would get to urge to upchuck about every 10-15 minutes for almost three hours.  She was so tired and we finally put her down to bed with lots of towels covering her comforter.  She made it through the night pretty well and was fine this morning, thank goodness.  Now I’ve got a whole load of laundry from the “incident.”

I realized there are so many fun euphemisms for vomiting… blowing chunks, puke, tossing cookies, hurl, upchuck, technicolor yawn, spewing, ralphing… if you’ve got a favorite, share it on a comment!

It’s 3am on the next day and I’m up puking… looks like I caught the bug. I haven’t thrown up in many years… reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where Jerry talks about his non-vomit streak. I think I need to go drink some Sprite…

Well I got the bug now. I guess Molly is good at sharing things after all. Let’s just hope the bug doesn’t go for round 2!

Sorry to hear that you all got “the bug”. Please don’t send it back to Eldora with Amanda. Just keep it there in Illinoise I’m sure Iowa has its own version.

Hope you are all feeling better soon.

I think you’ve covered all the euphemisms that I know!! Two and a half years, huh? Wow…Ethan threw up at the tender age of…hm. 8 months. When he’s sick and has a cold he often coughs so much it makes him gag, which starts the whole thing up. Funny, the same thing happens to me sometimes….
