“Will you go out wit’ me?”

I asked Erin to date me 10 years ago in my dorm room at 5:40pm this day. (She said ‘yes’ in case you were wondering…) Things are a lot different now, but our love is stronger now than our puppy love then (not to be confused with our dogs). Anyway, the world now knows a couple of things:
1. Doug is a dork for remembering such a specific detail.
2. This may make other spouses jealous (too bad, so sad).

It is also the 22nd aniversary for my roomie’s life on earth

Jessica’s and my 13th “anniversary of being set up by our best friends” (???) is coming up soon! That was November 13, 1992; Friday the 13th but pretty lucky for me.
Our two best friends were dating, and asked us to go to see Dark of the Moon with them, the fall play at our high school.
She was a freshman, and so her parents were pretty leery of me (a junior!). I had to come around a few times during Christmas break before they’d let her go out with me, and our first date wasn’t until Valentine’s Day.
I’m glad I was patient!
