Uh, oh… SpaghettiOs!
Yikes! It’s been way too long since I last posted! Sorry about that! Last week, I started my new part-time job while Molly went to her preschool class. She cried and threw a fit when I dropped her off, but she was doing fine by the time I came back to pick her up at the end of the day. People told me I should prepare myself for the first couple of drop-offs… that I would feel upset and guilty about it. Actually, it was kind of nice to drop her off and go on to work. It felt good, actually! There, I said it! :O Her second set of molars are coming in, so she’s been a bit “grumpy” this weekend… I’ll have no problem dropping her off at preschool tomorrow morning!
Molly and I were at the grocery store on Thursday, and we walked by the SpaghettiOs in the past aisle. I blurted out the “Uh, oh… SpaghettiOs” jingle, and Molly sang it back to me. It was so cute, and we sang it on and off during the rest of our shopping trip. I’m sure the check-out clerk thought we were nuts! So of course, I had to buy some Spaghettios for dinner that night… they don’t taste as good as I remember, though.

I attended the annual Hearts at Home conference here in town on Friday. It was a much-needed encouragement and uplifting experience for me. Since Molly went to preschool that day and Doug was at home to work in his office, I made him a “take a break” basket, including some of his favorite snack foods and the new James Bond Casino Royale DVD. I gave him instructions to take a break during the day, and snack on the munchies while watching the movie as loud as he wanted. He was so excited to turn up the volume that he lugged up his surround sound speakers from the basement, hooked it all up, and watched the movie right after Molly went to preschool. Since our basement is unfinished and we watch TV and movies in the great room, we have to keep the volume “reasonable” when Molly is sleeping so we don’t wake her. It’s been a tough adjustment for Doug, apparently.
I finally finished up my 2006 scrapbook over the weekend. What a relief! Now I guess I can get started on 2007… it never seems to end!

I’m still working on our 2000 scrapbook… I think I’m behind
Glad to hear that preschool and work are going well!
And I agree with you on the SpaghettiOs–I think I tried them after college for old time’s sake, and they were kind of gross. Not as good as the food Mom would cook!
