Yep- it’s actually snowing out today. Thankfully, it’s not accumulating, but it’s still cold enough to snow. Brrrrr!!! Spring will have to wait a while this year I guess!
Easter with Molly this year has been a lot of fun… she’s getting old enough to look forward to holidays and is starting to grasp their meaning. I will admit, Easter is a tough concept to explain to a 3-year-old! I went shopping yesterday for some Easter basket goodies and it was really difficult for me to find anything actually associated with Jesus… frustrating and disturbing. But I did find some neat children’s books that talk about Easter and famous Bible stories.

I’m hanging in there… I’m 30 weeks along now, so the end is near! We meet with the doc this week for another sonogram and to hopefully get some answers on our birth options. I’m starting to slow down quite a bit, stairs really tire me out, and getting a good’s night sleep is next to impossible with the bathroom trips and tossing and turning. Oh well! I think that’s nature’s way of preparing moms for the middle-of-the-night feedings! Doug painted the spare bedroom a beautiful yellow, so now we have to decide if Molly will stay in the purple room or if she wants to move into the yellow room… she can’t quite make up her mind yet.
That’s about all the excitement here at the Campbell house… just waiting for spring to show up so we can get some fresh air!
Have a blessed Easter and hope that you celebrate the hope and joy that comes with Christ’s resurrection! Halleluiah!

What an awesome weekend!
My three lifelong friends came out to join me at the Hearts at Home conference, which is all about professionalizing motherhood and giving Christian moms the resources and tools they need to be the best they can be. Makes sense to me… every other profession has organizations and national conferences, so why not the same for moms?
My twin sis Steph and dear friends Amber and Kristy were just what my spirit needed… I don’t think we have all gotten together for at least 4 years, so this reunion was long overdue! Needless to say, we stayed up way too late on Friday night, but we just had so much to catch up on! Doug remarked how amazing it was that he never heard a break in our conversation and that he could discern two conversations almost always happening at once! (Not that he was listening in or anything!) What a blessing to have these incredible friends who love God and each teach me something important about being a good mom. I miss them already.
I think this quote sums it up best: “The most important discovery that true friends can make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.”
Kristy brought us some hometown treats, Amber made us each a beautiful bracelet, and Steph brought a box of super-yummy chocolates to share. I made a little month-by-month calendar featuring our favorite recipes, important dates, and some fun photos… Here are two photos from our high school days:

And here we are today…

The conference was great – this is my third year attending, and I always learn something new to apply to my life as a wife and mother. Some takeaways from this year’s conference, celebrating its 15th anniversary:
- Comparison kills contentment.
- Have perspective for the moment: Ask “will this matter in 15 years?” If not, let it go.
- Have perspective for the future: Who do I want to be in 15 years? Who do I want my children to be in 15 years? What steps can I take today to get them (and me) to that point?
- The best thing you can do for your kids is to love their daddy!
- Do I allow God’s light to shine through my “cracks”?
- I should think of my list of priorities as a watercolor… whatever is on top will drip down and bleed into what’s below it.
- Make a committment to share every day with God in some way.
- Think and live with an eternal perspective.
- Marriage takes hard work to make it work.
- Ask myself: “Do my words wound or edify my marriage?”
- A good marriage is not so much about marrying the right person as it is about becoming the right partner.

Today is Molly’s 3rd birthday! Woo-hoo! And what a beautiful day it is… sunny and in the 60′s! The windows are open and fresh air is flowing through the house…
We actually celebrated Molly’s birthday yesterday with a party at the local children’s museum. The staff was great and we had a good time! (Best of all, didn’t have to clean up the house or worry that something would be damaged!) I think the highlight of the party was the face painting… a woman known simply as the “Zoo Lady” was on hand to decorate the kids and a few brave adults! And since Molly is currently in an “Ariel” phase, we had to get a cake featuring The Little Mermaid. She was VERY excited about that!

Geema and Gampa Robbins came out for a quick visit to celebrate with us, so it was fun having them tour the museum with Molly and help open birthday gifts. She loves visits from the grandparents!
Pictures of the party are posted in our March photo album… and here are a few pics that I just uploaded into our February album…

Hope you’re getting a taste of this spring weather! Time to go out and enjoy it!
