Geema!

May24

My dad had a conference in Kentucky earlier this week, so as he drove through, he dropped Mom off so she could spend a few days with us.  Molly calls her “Geema” and she keep grandma on her toes I think!  Molly spends a lot of time running around the house, singing songs, bringing books to be read, and asking for snacks.  But Geema must have worn her out because Molly’s been taking some long naps lately!  Make sure to check out pictures in our May album.

Our neighbors gave us their old Fisher-Price “Loving Family” dollhouse and accessories a few months ago.  The set came with a mother, father, and baby who we have affectionately named Baby Rodney.  (He just looks like a Rodney to me, I don’t know!) Anyway, the mom has mysteriously disappeared and Molly drags the dad and Baby Rodney everywhere… is she trying to send me a message??

“The soccer ball is stuck!”

May17

About  5 minutes ago, Molly uttered her first sentence!  I heard her announce, “The soccer ball is stuck!”  And sure enough, the soccer ball was trapped under the kitchen table.  Daddy will be so proud, except for the fact that her first sentence involves a soccer ball… he would have preferred that it was a volleyball instead!

Yes… No… Maybe!

May15

Doug has been teaching Molly a lot of new tricks lately.  She can “clink” drinks… she knows how to high-five, smack knuckles, and even give “skins”… and most recently Doug taught her to say “Yes… No… Maybe!”  She says this phrase while nodding her head yes, then shaking her head no, then raising her hands up by her face to signal “maybe.”  And the word “maybe’ comes out sounding like “baby” but we’re working on it!

We’ve got some pictures posted in our May album, so make sure to check those out. We got some much-needed rain today, so that was good for the lawn!

Happy Mother's Day       Stopping to smell the flowers

Take care,
