We woke up this morning to freezing rain… not a good way to start off the day.  I went out to go pick up the empty garbage cans and discovered that our flag was frozen!  (That was actually kind of cool.)  I had to throw salt on the ice-covered deck and stairs so the dogs could get down to pee.  Still no snow, though… we’ll see what happens in the next 24 hours!

Here are some pictures of our Christmas tree.  It’s our artificial tree, and what once hit the ceiling in our other house now seems dwarfed in the great room!  Anyway, I like how it glows at nighttime… just like a giant night light!  I put my favorite reindeer up on top of the entertainment armoire, and the stockings were hung on the plant ledge with care.  I tried to put the stockings on the fireplace, but they hung too low and I could just imagine Molly tugging on them and having the brass stocking holders fall on her.  No thank you!

Also, we finally got our window treatment installed in the master bath window… It wasn’t cheap, but we’re happy with the result:

What a Thanksgiving weekend for us!  It was fun to host Doug’s family on Thanksgiving and Erin’s family over the weekend.  Let’s just say our dishwasher has been working overtime! On Sunday afternoon, we decided it was time to bring out the Christmas decor, even though it’s been in the 60′s outside!  It doesn’t quite feel right putting up the tree when it’s so warm, but I think the temp will drop later this week.

And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, watch The Office on Thursday nights!  One of the funniest shows out there!!
