Horray! We moved sucessfully on Friday… good thing, too, because it rained pretty hard here on Saturday morning when we originally planned to move. So now we’ll stay at our apartment until the new house is ready… the sooner the better! I went out to the site today to pick out the stain color for our hardwood entry. The tile floors are finished and the cabinets should be delivered later this week.
And today, we officially closed on our former house. It was sad walking through there with all the furniture gone… I started to get a little choked up as I walked by the green wall that Amber and I painted back in 2000!
And to tie-in with the title of this post, Molly learned how to say “no” a couple of days ago. It’s really cute because she says it so nicely and sweet, but I suspect that will change soon! Another milestone, another challenge…
Take care!

We are packing things up left and right so we can temporarily move into an apartment this weekend. Our builder is optimistic and thinks our house may be ready around Oct. 1, which would be a whole month ahead of schedule! But we’re trying not to get too excited about that possibility just yet… The house is moving right along at a fast pace, though. The ceilings are stippled, the walls have been painted with their first coat, and the deck is done. The hardwood floors are intalled and the tile will be going in later this week. Our cabinets will be installed next week and the driveway and deck landing should be poured soon, also.

I’ll post again after we move into the apartment… take care!

We have had some great weather out here lately… we visited State Farm Park with some friends on Wednesday night and the kids had fun chasing the ducks and geese around the lake! Here’s Molly fearlessly chasing a couple of ducks:

And the new house is coming along quickly. The exterior siding and brick should be done by the end of the day. And look… our number is up! Lucky #13!

Enjoy your weekend!
