Over the weekend, I attended the National Hearts at Home Conference. This year’s theme was “Motherhood Rocks” and featured some incredible keynote presenters and great music from Sara Groves. What a great way to get my “mom batteries” recharged!! I attended some insightful seminars that focused on making your husband a priority and how to be a godly mother.

Here are some of my favorite take-aways from the conference:
- As moms, we can’t control the circumstances in our lives, but we CAN control our reactions.
- My #1 reaction as a mom should be to STAY CALM! That’s how you stay in control of any given situation.
- I’m not perfect, but God perfectly designed me to be Molly’s mom.
- Don’t put my emotional stability in the hands of my child.
- The grass is not greener on the other side. It is greener where you water and fertilize it.
- Send your husband off in the morning and welcome him back home in love EVERY DAY.

I learned so much and was so spiritually encouraged, that I am already starting to badger my friends into going to next year’s conference with me! Motherhood Rocks!

It’s official… Molly is now a toddler! We celebrated her birthday last week three times… once with Grandma and Grandpa C, the second time with the Maxards, and the third time with Grandma and Grandpa R! That’s a lot of partying! Check out photos from the celebrations online.
